OFA Job Notice Board on Website
This is a reminder that OFA provides a page on its website for members to post Job Notices. Those looking for employees can simply notify OFA of the need and provide a brief description of the position, and we will post it on the website for as long as you request. OFA has partnered with the Forest Resource Association (FRA) and others to promote the "Veterans in the Forestry Workforce” initiative. We have begun receiving inquiries about job openings from veterans. If you support this initiative, this job board would be a good place for veterans to see your open positions. To find job openings on line, go to the OFA website, click on Membership, click Career Center on the drop-down menu, and then click search.

Are You Saving On Your Electric Bills?
With energy rates as low as they have been in a long time, OFA member businesses should be looking to lock into some of these savings into the future. Some OFA member companies are already taking advantage of the services and savings opportunities offered by Riverside Energy, an OFA service partner. They tell me it is as easy as calling Sherri Loscko at Riverside Energy, give her some electric usage history for your company, and let her do the work to find you the best energy deal for now and the future. Simple as that, and it can save you hundreds or thousands of dollars a year. Contact Sherri by email at: sherri.loscko@riversideenergy.comor call her at: 614-766-7740.

In less than 60 seconds from the time the very bottom of the tree was set on fire by researchers, the entire room was in flames. Many people are injured and/or die each year from fires caused by improper use of space heaters and extension cords, improper decoration during the holidays, and holiday cooking accidents. Here are some safety tips on these and more topics for keeping your family safe during the holidays.
