OSU Study shows Ohio’s forest products economy is substantial. Recently, Dr. Eric McConnell, OSU Forest Products and Operations Extension Specialist completed an analysis of Ohio’s forest economy using 2010 data. The results of the study show that Ohio’s forest products industry contributed $22.05 billion to Ohio’s economy in 2010 and employed 118,000 people. Detailed information on different segments of the forest products economy as well as summary information on Ohio’s forests can be found in the Fact Sheet on the OSU Extension Website.
