Timber Talk

Posted By Denise Foster, Monday, September 14, 2020

The Lumberman's Outing Has Been Cancelled,
but we still need your help!

While the 2020 Lumberman’s Outing has been cancelled due to COVID-19, donations are still needed to for the Lumberman's Benevolent Fund.

The fund this year has been earmarked for the family of Andrew Byler. Andrew was a logger employed by Millcreek Lumber in Millersburg, OH. He was killed this spring in a tragic logging accident. He leaves behind a wife and 5 children.

Andrew's family still needs your help. In the past, this fundraiser has been instrumental in helping families of the timber industry who have suffered a tragedy. 100% of the proceeds from registration and sponsorship is donated as charity. Without this event, our ability to help Andrew's family is limited.

Since we are unable to conduct this annual fundraiser in the traditional manner, we are requesting sponsorship donations. All sponsors will be recognized in the Ohio Forestry Association Weekly Newsletter and on the website. Your donation is tax deductible as a charitable donation.

Please call OFA @ 888-388-7337 if you wish to be a sponsor. See sponsorship opportunities below. Thanks you for your consideration.

  • Platinum Sponsor - $1500
  • Gold Sponsor - $1000
  • Silver Sponsor - $500
  • Bronze Sponsor - $150

Current sponsors are: A&M Kiln Dry, Berlin Lumber, Butler Wood Products, Millcreek Lumber, Murphy Tractor, Northwest Hardwoods, Pixelle Specialty Solutions, Superior Hardwoods.
