This is a reminder that OFA provides a page on its website for members to post Job Notices. Those looking for employees can simply notify OFA of the need and provide a brief description of the position, and we will post it on the website for as long as you request. OFA has partnered with the Forest Resource Association (FRA) and others to promote the "Veterans in the Forestry Workforce” initiative. We have begun receiving inquiries about job openings from veterans. If you support this initiative, this job board would be a good place for veterans to see your open positions. Some OFA member companies are already taking advantage of the services and savings opportunities offered by Riverside Energy, an OFA service partner. They tell me it is as easy as calling Sherri Loscko at Riverside Energy, give her some electric usage history for your company, and let her do the work to find you the best energy deal for now and the future. Simple as that, and it can save you hundreds or thousands of dollars a year. Contact Sherri by email at: sherri.loscko@riversideenergy.comor call her at: 614-766-7740.

In less than 60 seconds from the time the very bottom of the tree was set on fire by researchers, the entire room was in flames. Many people are injured and/or die each year from fires caused by improper use of space heaters and extension cords, improper decoration during the holidays, and holiday cooking accidents. Here are some safety tips on these and more topics for keeping your family safe during the holidays.
