The 2018 Lumberman's Outing was held on September 12 and a great time was had by all. The weather was perfect for the outing and 82 golfers and 32 shooters participated in the days events. The day wrapped up with an awards ceremony, live auction, putting challenge and steak dinner. The Lumberman's Outing benefits the Lumberman's Benevolent Fund.
The Lumberman's Benevolent Fund
was created by the original founders of the Lumberman's Outing to help those in the forest industry whose family has suffered a tragedy. The proceeds from this event will benefit the Lumberman's Benevolent Fund. This year the funds will be used to help with medical bills for 2 year old Isabelle Kauffman, daughter of Ernest and Laura Kauffman and granddaughter of Atlee Kauffman, from Bent Wood Solutions. Isabelle has had several operations, tests and treatments since she was born, with another surgery scheduled. The cost of the upcoming surgery will have to be covered by the family. The Ohio Forestry Foundation is an IRA 501(c)3 tax-exempt non-profit corporation. We are still accepting all levels of sponsorship.
