Sawmiller LLC is hiring

Sawmiller LLC is a manufacturer of wood pallets.  The company operates two low grade sawmills in Hocking County, a pallet production facility in Hocking County, and a pallet manufacturing facility in Washington County.  We are currently seeking a procurement forester to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Procure logs and wood from various sources in Southeast Ohio and West Virginia

- Work with loggers, landowners, sawmills, and log yards to ensure the volume, quality, and cost requirements are met

- Monitor market trends and pricing to optimize procurement strategies

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Proven experience in procuring logs or wood in Southeast Ohio

- Strong knowledge of forestry practices, regulations, and sustainability principles

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills

- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions
