The Indiana Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) is reporting that it has detected the first incidence of Thousand Cankers Disease in the state.  It was found in a walnut plantation on Yellowwood State Forest in Brown County, Indiana about 40 miles south of Indianapolis.  IDNR also  reports that apparently for the first time, the fungus was not isolated on the Walnut Twig Beetle, but was found on a small weevil.  You can read more about the find in this IDNR news release.
