Conservation Education Grant Program The Ohio Forestry Association Foundation is a charitable, non-profit organization working to promote conservation education and critical awareness of the importance of forest resources to our environment and economy. Our mission is focused on providing financial, educational, and technical resources to individuals and organizations throughout Ohio.
The OFA Foundation Conservation Education Grant Program is designed to provide funding for activities that align with the above Mission Statement of the OFA Foundation. These grants will generally be small-scale grants designed to assist an organization with a project, with a maximum individual grant amount of $2,500. The grants to be awarded will be reviewed and chosen by the OFA Foundation Board of Directors from the applications received. Applications will be accepted between September 15 and October 13 that year, with grant awards being selected and announced by December 1 for funding to be used in the following calendar year. Grant applications can be submitted online, by email, or mailed to: Ohio Forestry Association Foundation, 507 Main St., Suite 200, Zanesville, Ohio 43701. Printable PDF Grant Application Other Grant Requirements & Information: Grant Applications for the 2025 funding year will be accepted starting on September 15, 2024 and ending on October 13, 2024. Mailed applications must be postmarked by October 14, 2024. Grants for the 2025 funding year will be selected and announced by December 1, 2024. Any local government, state government, Tribal government, school, college, or nonprofit organization is eligible to apply. The Ohio Forestry Association Foundation will provide graphic logo’s and other information for promotional opportunities when appropriate. Grant recipients will be required to provide proof of appropriate use of funds within 30 days after the expenditure of the funds, or the close of the activity for which the funds were used, whichever is later.
