2019 OFA Summer Outing Recap

The 2019 Summer Outing was held July 17-18, 2019 in Marietta, Ohio and a good time was had by all who attended. The event kicked off on Wednesday afternoon with a leisurely cruise up the Ohio River on the Valley Gem Sternwheeler. The threatening rain and thunderstorms held off for a few hours and 105 Members of the Ohio Forestry Association and their guests enjoyed appetizers and cocktails while networking and enjoying the scenery. Thanks to A&M Kiln Dry and Haessly Hardwood Lumber for sponsoring this event.

On Thursday our Annual Clay Shoot and Golf Outing took place. The Shooting Event was held at Hilltop Sporting Clays in Whipple, Ohio and was attended by 29 shooters. The Golf Tournament was held at Lakeside Golf Club in Beverly. Twenty-five golfers participated in a 2 man blind draw format tournament. It was a hot day, but everyone enjoyed themselves.

Following a day of shooting and golfing, the two groups came together at Lakeside Golf Course for a reception and steak dinner sponsored by Murphy Tractor and Equipment Company.
